Coffee

Hi gang! I was sitting here drinking my coffee and I started thinking (I know. Again!?!?). I have been to Starbucks exactly twice in my life. Is it just me or does their coffee (any of the coffees, regular, to the foo foo ones) taste burnt to everyone else too? If I leave half a pot sitting on the warmer all day and decide to have some about ohhh 8 hours later, it tastes just like that $5.00 coffee at Starbucks.

Then I had another thought, rather a memory. When I was a kid of 16 years old and was working at Wendy's, you could get a cup of coffee for 15¢ (16¢ with tax) with free refills!

The coffee market got all out of control because of Starbucks. They come along and charge an insane amount for a cup of coffee, making it the preppy thing to do when they came out. Now they are huge all because they starting charging exuberant prices for nasty tasting coffee. It's a name brand thing. You aren't cool and successful unless your throwing money away on everything including a nasty cup of coffee from Starbucks!

Now years later, it's hard to find a cup of coffee under $1.00. One of the best coffees out there still leaves the carafe on the table and they will refill it as many times as you want, no charge. Yep it's IHOP! But that privilege has a price, over $2.00. That's ok though with drinking as much as I want, I can get the price per cup down to where it was all those years ago.

Again, these are just my thoughts (Maybe with a sprinkling of A.D.D. Lol).
