That didn't kill them. They died from carbon monoxide poisoning. That means they were still alive when they burned.

Latest News On How Josh Powell Killed His Boys (don't read if you don't want to know)
It was reported on the news tonight that Josh Powell had tried to kill his sons as soon as he locked the social worker out of the house with an ax (or hatchet). The coroners office stated that there were terrible wounds to their heads and necks from the ax.

I agree spending eternity burning in hell is too good for this evil bastard but there is one good thing from this. Susan now has her babies back. WVC police just need to find her body to get closure for her parents
